Sebastian Kloborg (he/him) was born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1986 and entered The Royal Danish Ballet School in Copenhagen in 1999 and upon graduation in 2003 he joined The Royal Danish Ballet where he danced until 2016. From 2012-2014 he danced with Gauthier Dance in Stuttgart, Germany and since 2016 he has been working as a freelance dancer and choreographer.
As a freelance dancer he often shares the stage with Maria Kochetkova and together they have commissioned and regularly perform works by David Dawson, Julian Nicosia, Ella Rothschild, Bejamin Millepied and William Forsythe.
He was invited to be part of a Choreographic Fellowship with Danish Dance Theatre from 2017-2020 creating several works for the company, amongst them the acclaimed Walk the Beast. Other commissioning companies include English National Ballet, The Royal Danish Ballet, Beijing Dance Theatre, Ballett Chemnitz and Corpus Dance Company.
In 2019 he created Absolute Pitch-Black for Kammerballetten, Denmark which was awarded the National Theatre award for dance production of the year.
Since 2021 he has been closely affiliated with the Betty Nansen Theatre, a playhouse in his native Copenhagen, co-directing physical theatre as a choreographer and movement director amongst them Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and Unice Zürn's Dark Spring both in 2022.
From 2021 he has been the associate artistic director of, the DAP Dance Festival in Pietrasanta, Italy. He is also a member of the board of the Copenhagen International Choreography Competition.
