DanceAspen and Jazz Aspen Snowmass came together for a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the organizations, hosting a show both Wednesday and Thursday night inside the Paul JAS Center in downtown Aspen.

Headlining both shows was the Afro-Cuban jazz duo Okan, comprised of Canadian musicians Elizabeth Rodriguez and Magdelys Savigne, with various DanceAspen performers taking the stage at the same time for “soulful improvisations, unscripted.”

The new Paul JAS Center only opened this past December and hosts events or concerts most nights. JAS will host its two largest events of the year in the coming months: the June Experience (June 25-28) and the Labor Day Experience (Sept. 4-6).
