DanceAspen’s In Progress series, generously supported by the Basalt Public Arts Commission, offers three opportunities to experience how a full evening-length work comes together. Step inside a working rehearsal of Take Me Home: Dances to the Music of John Denver and hear directly from the choreographers as each brings a distinct movement voice and style to a different section of the production. Follow the creative process as John Denver’s songs and soundscape take shape through dance, culminating in the world premiere at the Wheeler Opera House on February 20–21, 2027.

In Progress: Jonah Delgado & Matthew Gilmore at TACAW

Join DanceAspen’s in-house choreographers Jonah Delgado and Matthew Gilmore for a behind-the-scenes look at new work taking shape. Drawing on their experiences with companies including Aspen Santa Fe Ballet and BalletX, and their close collaboration with DanceAspen’s artists, they bring distinct perspectives to the creative process. This intimate showing offers a glimpse into how they move between their roles as dancers and choreographers to create work for the company.
